Our Mission

The mission of the North Eastern Regional Fusion Center is to facilitate and enhance the level of inter-agency communications, intelligence analysis, and information sharing among federal, state, and local stakeholders and the public and private sectors in order to anticipate and counter criminal activity, terrorism, and other hazards in coordination with State of Ohio Fusion Center and the Intelligence Community.

Major Objectives

The objectives of NEORFC are

Fusion - (Law Enforcement Investigations & Intelligence Analysis)

Collect, analyze, disseminate and use terrorism, homeland security, and law enforcement information and intelligence in support of sharing information with appropriate agencies in a timely manner;

Critical Infrastructure Protection

Implement the National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NIPP) and conduct threat and vulnerability assessments on local Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources;

Training

Provide training on information collection, intelligence, and the role of the region’s citizens, public safety professionals and the private sector in preventing, recognizing, and reporting criminal activity and terrorist threats; and

Response

Exercise coordinated response strategies (playbooks) for terrorism/threat-specific scenarios.
